3 songs I just love!

You may not find these songs are your average eleven-year-old girl's choice of favourite songs, but perhaps you'd be interested to read them - and sing them!

All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.

Each little flower that opens,
Each little bird that sings,
He made the glowing colours,
He made the tiny wings!

All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.

The purple headed mountains,
The river running by,
The sunset and the morning,
That brighten up the sky!

All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.

There are two more verses we don't know of. Here is the second song!

  1. Jesus wants me for a sunbeam,
    To shine for Him each day;
    In every way try to please Him,
    At home, at school, at play.
    • A sunbeam, a sunbeam,
      Jesus wants me for a sunbeam;
      A sunbeam, a sunbeam,
      I’ll be a sunbeam for Him.
  2. Jesus wants me to be loving,
    And kind to all I see;
    Showing how pleasant and happy,
    His little one can be.

    A sunbeam, a sunbeam,
    Jesus wants me for a sunbeam;
    A sunbeam, a sunbeam,
    I'll be a sunbeam for Him.
  3. I will ask Jesus to help me
    To keep my heart from sin;
    Ever reflecting His goodness,
    And always shine for Him.

    A sunbeam, a sunbeam,
    Jesus wants me for a sunbeam;
    A sunbeam, a sunbeam,
    I'll be a sunbeam for Him.
I’ll be a sunbeam for Jesus,
I can if I but try;
Serving Him moment by moment,
Then live for Him on high.

Yes, they're both hymns, and I love them. :)

Oh when I point my finger at my neighbour
There are three more pointing back at me;
The little one says, "You're not so hot,
If you blame the other fellow then you're on the spot!"

Oh when I point my finger at my neighbour
It just ain't honesty,
'Cos in my heart I feel that I first must deal
With the three that are pointing at me.

Oh when I point my finger at my neighbour
There are three more pointing back at me;
The second one says, "Go easy, mate!
You ain't cleaned the rubbish from your own back gate!"
Oh when I point my finger at my neighbour
It just ain't honesty,
'Cos I realise I must first get wise
To the three that are pointing at me.

Oh when I point my finger at my neighbour
There are three more pointing back at me;
The third one says, "Supposing you
Had to run the country, what would you do?
Oh would you point your finger at your neighbour?
Where would this nation be?"
Well I couldn't wait so I soon got straight
With the three that are pointing at me.

Oh when I point my finger at my neighbour
There are three more pointing back at me
They seem to say, "See here my lad,
Maybe you are just about three times as bad!"

Oh when I point my finger at my neighbour
It just ain't honesty,
'Cos in my heart I feel that I first must deal
With the--"What'll I do?" "What'll I do?"
What are we going to be doing about the
One, two, three that are pointing back at me?
I love this one too :) See if you can find the deeper meaning behind the words.

I hope you enjoyed! And, in case you need to know, all these songs are a perfect remedy for depression. What are YOUR favourite songs? :D

  5. All of the songs these days are autotuned and about dating. This is a nice change in taste.
