New Blog

Hello ^.^

I am not using this blogger account, really, anymore - but I have made a new blog with a different account. Click here to visit it. It's theme is Doctor Who, something I have a growing obsession for. I have completed watching the Tenth and the Eleventh Doctors and have started on the First Doctor. I think my favourite Doctor is the Tenth, and my favourite companion is either Susan or Donna.

Well, I'd better stop going into a long gabble about Doctor Who...so, goodbye, and I hope to see you visiting my new blog!

Sorry

Hello,

I don't really think I'll be posting on here much anymore.

Posting my art/creations for all and sundry to see doesn't really appeal to me anymore, and I don't believe anyone will use the craft ideas I post on here.

This does NOT mean I will stop blogging! I may make a new blog, and I'll still be posting on my other blogs.

Manipulation & Story

Hello!

I made a manipulation for somebody on Howrse's contest, and wrote a mini story to go along with it. :)

This manip took me a heck of an age, I'm sorry to say. I had a dilemna getting the horse onto the background without it going pixelated (Paint does that...) and the eye-recolour, which was one of my first tries at one, took me ages to get right. I'm quite pleased with the result, now, even though I say so myself!

The Story

This story takes place on a crisp, blowy day in early autumn. A group of fjord horses grazed peacefully on one side of the lake.
The breeze, carrying along the salty smell of the fjords, sent a thrilling pulse through a young filly named Vår. She shot a wary look at her mother, who was focussing on rooting up the dry, stubby grass roots with her teeth, and Vår took this as the coast-is-clear signal for her to trot off by herself.
There was something in the breeze which stirred up the young horse’s sense of adventure. She was sure there was something in store for her today, something special – a magical secret which she would discover.
Vår ventured up the rocky hill, her hooves sinking into the moss. The wind rustled her creamy-coloured mane as she clambered up, craning her neck around every now and then to admire the view behind her.
When she reached the top of the hill, Vår noticed something which she did not see from below, something which made her eyes – sparkling green – open wide with astonishment.
There was a doorway shimmering there in thin air, a glowing doorway leading into a leafy forest beyond.
Vår approached it and looked in. Then, without hesitation, she stepped forward, forward into an adventure just around the bend...

What do you think? How do you think they go together?

What My Handwriting (apparently) Has to Say About Me

Hello!

According to what I've been reading recently, my handwriting has a lot to say about me...

I place the dot on my Is high above the actual letter - I am imaginative, yay!
I cross my Ts in the middle of the letter - I am comfortable in my own skin.
I write joined-up - I am artistic and love to draw. :D
My writing slants to the right - I am honest and open.
My capital Is are rather large - I am proud. Oh well, if you say so.
I have large spaces between letters - I enjoy freedom and don't like to be overwhelmed or crowded.

What do you think?

New Header :)

'Ello again! :b

Just to say I have a new header, which is something which would probably have struck you if you are looking at this blog, rather than viewing the posts from your dashboard. >(^._.^)<
I will be improving it, trying to remove the line on the side and the blue fillings for the image credit. I can only do this tomorrow due to the lateness tonight, but I thought it wouldn't be proper to keep up the Christmassy blog look after Twelfth Night...not that it was that Christmassy a design but you know. XD

If you didn't know, Twelfth Night is tonight, and is the last night of Christmas for most types of Christian. Tomorrow, it is Wise Men's Day or something like that, when in France you eat a galette des rois, a sort of pastry thing with a little figure inside (usually either of Mother Mary, one of the Wise Men, or something random), and the person who gets the figure gets a paper crown and so on. ;) It's fun. My sister, Kinyonga, always gets the figure, though! NOT FAIR! :b

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I can't believe that 2013 was last year and that 2012 is two years ago. Amazing!

Long Time No Post

The title says it all...SORRY! :( I've been making a new blog which people I know in real life are going to look at, about my life, my stories, and so on, so I've been focusing on that one. I would provide a link to that blog but it says my personal info and stuff on it so I made it a private blog.

Anyway, enough of the ol' excuses. Here's a haiku I wrote today:

Sunset Reflections

Pool beneath the sky,
Trees' reflections reaching down,
Amazing sunset.

Not great, admittedly. What do you think?

Also, have you any ideas of stuff I could post? :3

Thanks,
~Dawn

Random Banners

**UPDATE: I forgot to add credits before, I've added them now. If you already copied them, then make sure you replace them with the credits-added ones.**

Here are some random banners I made over time. Feel free to repost them! You don't have to give me credit as I made them for other people's use.

Enjoy! :)

By the way, what do you think of this pixel thingy I made, not for free use?
